Intel發表Atom四核處理器「Bay Trail」效能強2倍

雖然小筆電似乎已經逐漸消失在舞台上，但是 Atom 的腳步仍未停歇。Intel 在 CES 2013 發表首款採用「Bay Trail」平台的四核 Atom 處理器，以 22nm 製程技術生產，預計今年推出。

作為 Atom 翻身契機，新處理器將作為 Windows 或 Android 平板的中央核心，以更低廉價格提供優異的電力表現。

Intel 保證新處理器效能，將能提供比現有 Atom 處理器還要強勁兩倍的表現。同時，搭載新處理器的平板裝置，機身厚度最低將可薄至 8mm，並維持將近一整天的電池續航力以及以週為單位的待機時間。

雖然本次 Intel 並未釋出更多情報，但根據之前傳聞，有可能運作時脈會達 2.1GHz，且最大解析度應該可至 2560x1600；目前尚未有確定合作廠商與推出時程。
